Reigning MLC champions Washington Freedom have unveiled a new logo ahead of the upcoming edition of the Major League Cricket (MLC).

After clinching their maiden MLC title last season, Washington Freedom has revealed its latest brand identity with new fonts, colors, and logo design.

Washington Freedom’s new logo signifies the spirit of American sports, with the bald eagle being the central figure of it.

For the unversed, the bald eagle has been the national emblem of the United States since 1782, which symbolizes power, focus and determination, qualities that define the Washington Freedom franchise.

Additionally, the eagle’s sharp gaze showcases unwavering confidence and readiness for a battle on the field.

The shield serves as a unifying frame for the design, denoting protection, strength, and resilience.

As part of the reveal, the new logo features three colors - Red, white, and Blue - inspired by the American flag, the color palette reflects national pride and unity.

Red symbolizes passion, energy, and courage, White conveys integrity and fair play while Blue represents trust, loyalty, and determination.

Furthermore, the stars positioned within the shield pay tribute to the United States’ legacy and ambition.

Ensuring strong visual impact and brand recognition, the bold and capitalized typography of ‘FREEDOM’ exudes strength and confidence.

Washington Freedom’s previous logo was in use since March 2023, which featured patriotic red, white, and blue colors and stars from the Washington, D.C., city flag. It also featured a bat and ball representing cricket.

Under head coach Ricky Ponting, the defending champions have assembled a formidable squad for the 2025 season as they aim to retain the title.
