Freedom will take on MI New York in the must-win match on Thursday.

After finishing with three wins and two defeats from their group stage, Freedom required two results to go their way in order to finish in the top two and advance straight to the Qualifier on Thursday evening and play for a place in the final.

Unfortunately, the first of those results didn’t go Freedom’s way, with Texas overcoming San Francisco, meaning that Freedom could at best finish third.

With MI New York then losing to Seattle Orcas, it was confirmed that Freedom would take-on New York in Thursday’s Eliminator contest.

The winner of the third v fourth Eliminator play-off then advances to play the loser of Seattle Orcas v Texas Super Kings in what is in effect a semi-final.
