The Freedom pair won MiLC with the Dallas Mustangs, with Gous taking home the competition’s MVP award.
Everyone at Washington Freedom sends their congratulations to Andries Gous and Sujith Gowda who played vital roles in Dallas Mustangs 2023 Minor League Cricket victory.
Gous, in particular, had an outstanding tournament, scoring 516 runs at a strike-rate of 141 to win the competition’s MVP award.
The pair combined in the first match of the play-offs against Lone Star Athletics, where Gowda made 70 off 52 balls and Gous scored 67 off 43.
It is the second MiLC title that Gous has won, having won the 2022 MiLC with Seattle Thunderbolts.
“It’s great to get the award,” said Gous to Minor League after being presented with the MVP award and shortly after the Mustangs had secured the 2023 title. “All I wanted to do was contribute towards the team and to help us win this competiton and this reward is just the cherry on the top.”
