2008 USL Super-Y League Program

The Washington Freedom is pleased to announce its 2008 USL Super-Y League & Super-20 League Program. After a successful season in 2006 with the U20's winning the North American Final and 2007 saw both the U15's and U20's playing in the North American Finals, the Freedom will expand to six teams in 2008, with teams U13-U16 & U20's.

Players intersted in trying out should contact Win Puffer with their name, address, phone number, date of birth & age group and current club or college team.

The tryout process has completed for 2008. If you did not tryout and are still interested, please email or call Win Puffer.

Program Costs

The total cost of the 2008 Super-Y League Program is $700 ($160 Membership with Washington Freedom + $540 Super-Y Program Fees). These fees will cover all training & match expenses, league, registration and referee fees. Players are responsible for transportation and any associated hotel stays for matches.

U13 & U14 Team Selections

The following players have been selected to the 2008 U13 & U14 Washington Freedom Super-Y League teams. To accept the position on the Washington Freedom SYL team players must email Win Puffer with the players name and age group AND must sign-up for a Freedom Membership (cost is $160 and part of SYL fee) by Monday, May 5, 2008. Information regarding registration will be sent out after players have accepted positions on the Freedom teams.

If you were not selected but would still like to be in consideration if any players do not accept their positions on the team, please email us.

The Freedom would like to thank everyone who came to the tryouts. The coaching staff had a very difficult time making their selections as the quality of the players was extremely high. We hope you continue working hard and hope to see you all on the fields in the future.
